Assistant Manager - Mergers and Acquisitions Tax

As a Tax Consultant in the M&A team, your role involves conducting research and analysis on various transaction tax laws, both domestic and international. This includes areas such as corporate laws, SEBI, FEMA, Competition Act, and stamp duty laws. Your responsibilities will include: - Researching tax theories and positions to address specific client requirements. - Creating deliverables in various formats such as Word, PowerPoint, Excel, or email to communicate implications based on research findings. - Conducting direct tax diligence on targets by examining past tax issues, records, and compliance to produce detailed diligence reports. - Utilizing efficient tax practice processes and tools to enhance work productivity. - Staying updated on the latest developments in the industry and sharing relevant articles with the team. - Maintaining accurate records of internal documents and working papers. - Assisting in preparing training presentations on recent regulatory changes. - Contributing to knowledge sharing initiatives and process improvements within the team. - Networking internally to understand potential client issues and ensure compliance with risk management strategies. - Monitoring billing and collections processes. You should have a minimum of 2-4 years of experience in M&A Tax and hold a qualification as a Chartered Accountant (CA).,
