Job Description

Role Overview:

The Assistant Manager / Manager Accounts will be responsible for the end-to-end finalization of financial statements for UK-based companies in accordance with IFRS and UK accounting standards. The role requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to manage client relationships while ensuring timely and accurate delivery of financial reports. At the managerial level, the position also involves guiding team members and ensuring adherence to quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Finalization of Accounts:

    Prepare and review Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Annual Accounts Statements, Notes, and supporting reports as per IFRS and UK accounting guidelines.
  • Reconciliations:

    Review and reconcile bank accounts, revenue accounts, VAT, PAYE, NIC, and other control accounts; ensure accurate determination of dues to/from HMRC.
  • Ledger Review:

    Perform detailed ledger scrutiny, identify and correct misclassifications, and ensure accuracy before finalization.
  • Tax Computation:

    Calculate Corporation Tax and prepare Tax Returns, VAT summaries, and related schedules.
  • Compliance & Reporting:

    Ensure all deliverables comply with accounting and reporting standards, and meet client and regulatory expectations.
  • Quality & Timeliness:

    Maintain high standards of quality control, accuracy, and on-time delivery of reports.
  • Client Relationship Management:

    Communicate effectively with clients, understand requirements, and ensure satisfaction through proactive support.
  • Team Guidance:

    Lead, mentor, and review the work of team members, providing technical support and training where required.

Education & Experience:

  • Education:

    Bachelors Degree (Commerce preferred); CA Inter / CA Articleship completed.

  • Experience:

    8 to 12 years of experience in an Indian Audit Firm or relevant industry handling UK or international accounting processes.
  • Strong understanding of finalization of accounts for entities such as Partnerships, Companies, and Sole Traders.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Proficiency in accounting systems and MS Excel.
  • Excellent analytical and logical reasoning ability.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Leadership and mentoring skills.

Working Days and Hours

  • Work from Office
  • 5 days week, Monday to Friday
  • Working Window 11:00 am to 8:00 pm

Desired Candidate:

Education

  • Bachelor's (Preferred)

Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities for this role:

  • CA Inter / CA Article-ship completed
  • 8 to 12 years experience in Indian Audit firm / Industry

  • Knowledge of Accounting Systems
  • Good English Communication skills Verbal and written Analytical & Logical thoughts process
