Job Description

Role Objective: To uphold and enhance the safety culture at the Dahej site by ensuring compliance with statutory regulations, identifying and mitigating occupational health hazards, and fostering a proactive safety environment through training, audits, and emergency preparedness. Key Responsibilities: Demonstrate leadership in safety management and team coordination. Develop and deliver training programs (including PPTs) for new employees and contract workers; evaluate training effectiveness. Conduct risk assessments using HIRA, JSA, What-If analysis, and identify unsafe acts/conditions. Ensure statutory compliance and maintain all safety-related documentation. Report and investigate accidents/incidents; implement Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA). Conduct regular plant safety inspections and audits. Prepare and implement SOPs related to safety. Develop and execute onsite emergency plans; conduct mock drills. Organize and lead safety committee meetings; ensure follow-up on compliance actions. Oversee project safety activities and coordinate with project teams. Manage ERP/SAP functions related to PR, PO, GRN, inventory, and billing. Maintain PPE inventory and ensure proper disposal. Coordinate with government authorities (DISH, PESO, GIDC, Collector Office, CWC). Handle hazardous chemicals safely and ensure proper storage and risk mitigation. Qualifications: B.Tech/BE in Chemical Engineering or M.Sc. in Chemistry with PDIS or M.Sc. in Industrial Hygiene (Full-time from a recognized institute). Experience: 7 to 10 years of relevant experience in industrial safety and health management. Skills & Competencies: Strong leadership and teamwork abilities. Excellent communication and training skills. Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PPT) and ERP/SAP systems. Knowledge of hazardous chemical handling and occupational health risk management. Familiarity with statutory regulations (DISH, PESO, CWC, etc.). Experience with Integrated Management Systems (ISO 9001, 14001, OHSAS 45001:2018) and Responsible Care (RC) management.
