Job Description

Overview

  • Execute capital projects related to plant improvement, sustainability, safety and capacity augmentation.
  • Supporting plant team to improve equipment availability and reliability
  • Ensuring that the plant machinery and facility is in good running condition with minimum breakdowns and optimum cost of maintenance.
  • Track VMOH (Power, Fuel and Water usage) on daily basis and ensure zero outage against AOP.
  • Comply with Key controls related to projects.

Responsibilities

  • Timebound execution of identified projects and ensure effective implementation to deliver planned improvements.
  • Support in writing the plant Capex with data and details.
  • Ensure facility compliance with GMP, AIB and IS standards
  • Ensuring 100% adherence to capex expenses and track R&M expenses as per AOP
  • Ensuring the implementation of the maintenance system designed by the engineering manager to minimize downtime and costs of maintenance
  • Deliver the productivity targets as per Business Objectives
  • Ensuring that the engineering stores carries the optimum amount of inventory at all times for smooth running of utilities by issuing timely indents
  • Assisting the engineering manager in phase-put of obsolete machinery and purchase plans for new technology
  • Participating in various SGA activities to understand the functioning of the various plant systems and drive improvement
  • Supporting the manager in implementing and maintaining an adaptive culture in the plant
  • Ensure Minimum stock level of LPG and HSD in Plant.
  • Support Engineering Manager in Asset identification, verification Activity.
  • Ensure Equipment, People and Food Safety in utility area as per Pepsico Guidelines.
  • Ensure timely safe closure of plant projects while ensuring safety and given yearly spends.

People:

  • Coaching and developing the team of electricians and fitters to achieve a committed and high performing maintenance team
  • Practicing and communicating forward a quality and hygiene focused culture in the plant
  • Build TPM Culture and support on Early Management and PM pillars.

Job Dimensions - (what is the scope of the role - volume, number of customers, number of sites, lines etc)

  • Production volume of 22 Mn MT / annum
  • No of customers: 10+ operatives
  • No of sites: One (1 Production lines)
  • Exposure in handling of Boilers, ETP, Compressed Air system, Nitrogen plant, HT/LT systems, Captive Power generation, reliability principles, troubleshooting

Qualifications

  • Graduation in Engineering
  • Experience in Maintenance & Projects of around 3-6 yrs
  • Understanding of Food / Pharma manufacturing setup
  • Exposure of TPM & Project management is desirable
