Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Design and develop mechanical lock systems and related components for two-wheelers, passenger vehicles, and commercial vehicles.
Create detailed 2D and 3D designs using
AutoCAD
and other relevant CAD tools.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Development, Quality, and Manufacturing to ensure feasibility and manufacturability.
Conduct design validation and verification activities including prototyping, testing, and performance evaluations.
Work on cost optimization and design improvements based on feedback from production and customers.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and customer specifications.
Maintain accurate design documentation and version control.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
3 to 7 years of experience in lock design or mechanical product design in the
automotive industry
.
Proficiency in
AutoCAD
is mandatory; knowledge of other CAD software (like CATIA, SolidWorks, Creo) is an added advantage.
Strong understanding of mechanical mechanisms, GD&T, materials, and manufacturing processes.
Familiarity with APQP, DFMEA, PPAP, and other automotive development standards.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
