 Assistant Manager - Debt Management Services - Rural 
 Job Purpose 
The Debt Management Specialist will be responsible for managing and coordinating the recovery of overdue payments on loans or credit accounts.  Duties and Responsibilities 
  • Achieve collections target by visiting customers or agencies.
  • Monitor performance against set parameters and provide regular updates.
  • Ensure legal guidelines are complied with while repossessing products.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and transactions.
  • Provide regular reports on collection activities and performance.
  • Handle escalations promptly and effectively to resolve issues.
  • Manage Daily Risk Report (DRR).
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve collection rates.
  • Track cases individually.
  • Ensure resolution as per Annual Operating Plan (AOP) within agreed timelines.
  • Portfolio management.
  • Develop and implement debt collection strategies.
  • Achieve targets as assigned.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and analyze reports on collections.
  • Manage associated risks.
  • Provide team leadership.
  • Vendor management.
  • Coordinate with internal and external clients.

  •  Required Qualifications and Experience 
  • Proven experience in debt management, collections, or related roles.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve collection targets by engaging with customers or agencies.
  • Experience in monitoring performance and providing regular updates.
  • Knowledge of legal guidelines related to debt recovery and repossession.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records of customer interactions and transactions.
  • Experience in preparing reports on collection activities and performance.
  • Strong problem-solving skills for handling escalations and issues.
  • Experience with Daily Risk Report (DRR) management.
  • Ability to develop and implement strategies to improve collection rates.
  • Case tracking and resolution management as per business plans and timelines.
  • Portfolio management skills.
  • Understanding of debt collection strategies and target achievement.
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Analytical skills for reporting and analysis.
  • Risk management capabilities.
  • Experience in leading teams.
  • Vendor management experience.
