Job Purpose

The Assistant Manager/STL – Full Stack is responsible for planning, designing, and delivering high-quality web and mobile applications. The role requires strong technical expertise, team leadership, and end-to-end ownership of application development. This includes understanding functional requirements, improving front-end and back-end performance, mentoring team members, and ensuring successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Application Development & Architecture

  • Design, build, and implement high-performing and secure cloud-based web and mobile applications.
  • Provide architectural and technical guidance to the development team.
  • Translate business requirements into scalable technical designs.
  • Establish and enforce best practices for code quality and performance.

Project Planning & Delivery

  • Provide time and effort estimates to support project planning.
  • Guide teams in backlog prioritization, ROI understanding, and issue resolution.
  • Ensure on-time delivery of secure, cost-effective, and high-quality applications.
  • Maintain and optimize release pipelines in coordination with DevOps teams using CI/CD tools.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Management

  • Work closely with Product Managers, Designers, Project Managers, and Architects to deliver user-centric solutions.
  • Foster cross-functional collaboration and innovation within the team.
  • Continuously improve Agile processes and development methodologies.

Team Leadership & Mentoring

  • Mentor and support junior team members in their professional development.
  • Build and track Individual Development Plans (IDPs) for team members.
  • Create a collaborative and high-performance work culture.
  • Ensure efficient resource utilization on key initiatives.

Quality & Performance Management

  • Monitor and improve application performance across front-end and back-end.
  • Support software process improvement initiatives.
  • Identify system defects and ensure resolution through testing, verification, and release management.

Reporting Structure

  • Reports to: Manager – Digital Applications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10+ years of hands-on experience in application development.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in leading and managing development teams.
  • Expert proficiency in React JS, React Native, and Next JS.
  • Strong experience in JavaScript/TypeScript and/or Java with Spring Boot.
  • Expertise in AWS Cloud Services: API Gateway, Lambda, AppSync, Amplify, S3, CloudFront, ECS/Fargate, Step Functions, SQS, SNS, EventBridge, DynamoDB, Aurora PostgreSQL, Cognito, IAM, and Elasticsearch.
  • Proven experience in designing event-driven and microservices-based architectures.
  • Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform, CDK).
  • Experience with secure coding practices, vulnerability assessments, and cyber-risk management.
  • Proven track record of building scalable and high-performance applications.
