Role Purpose

The Assistant Manager Business Planning will support the organizations transformation into a globally competitive IT services center by driving data-driven analysis, business performance tracking, and strategy execution. This role bridges business planning and elements of business strategy, ensuring operational efficiency, governance compliance, and alignment with Hyundai Motor Groups (HMG) global standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Business Planning & Analysis

  • Conduct business performance analysis (financials, utilization, delivery KPIs).
  • Develop forecasts and budgets to support profit-center transformation.
  • Prepare regular business dashboards & MIS reports for leadership review.
  • Identify trends and provide data-driven insights for decision-making.

2. Strategic Planning Support

  • Assist in defining 3–5 year business plans aligned to HMG and HAEI growth roadmap.
  • Support ISO 20000, ISO 27001, CMMI readiness and certification activities.
  • Contribute to global SLA/KPI frameworks and governance dashboards.
  • Support process standardization and audit readiness across ADM, GDC, and SI.

3. Operations & Delivery Support

  • Track customer SLA adherence and operational KPIs.
  • Work with delivery teams to analyze efficiency gaps and recommend improvements.
  • Document and track operational risks and mitigations.
  • Support knowledge transfer, governance reviews, and compliance tracking.

4. Market & Competitor Benchmarking

  • Assist in market analysis and competitor benchmarking .
  • Track global demand trends (ERP, Cloud, AI, etc., ) and align with HAEI offerings.
  • Provide inputs for BD strategy in pre-sales and customer proposals.

5. Reporting & Governance

  • Maintain governance dashboards for leadership and HQ.
  • Track SLA compliance, resource utilization, and project profitability.
  • Support risk & performance management reviews with HQ.

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Strong analytical and business modeling skills (Advanced Excel, Power BI, or similar tools).
  • Knowledge of IT services operations (Domestic and Global)
  • Familiarity with ISO/ITIL frameworks, SLAs, and compliance reporting.
  • Strong stakeholder management & presentation skills.
  • Ability to handle large-scale data and deliver actionable insights.

Qualifications & Experience

  • MBA / PGDM in Business Analytics, Finance, Strategy, or related field.
  • 5–7 years’ experience in business planning/strategy/operations in an IT services company.
  • Exposure to global delivery models and governance frameworks preferred.
  • Knowledge of financial planning, SLA management, and compliance standards is a plus.

KPIs (Sample – 2025–26)

  • Timely delivery of monthly business performance reports.
  • SLA/KPI compliance tracking >95%.
  • Contribution to at least two certification milestones (ISO 20000, 27001, CMMI).
  • Completion of competitive benchmarking reports quarterly.
  • Identified and implemented 2+ operational improvement initiatives annually.
