Role & responsibilities

Asset Register Management: Maintain and update the fixed asset register with new acquisitions, disposals, and transfers. Assign unique identifiers (e.g., Tags with Assect code info for location ) for tracking purposes. Asset Code creation in SAP - Identify for FA and Non FA as well create asset codes for the same Ensure all asset details, including location and status, are accurate and up-to-date in SAP. Intangible Assets - Addition, Amortisation as per Accounting policy.

Financial Accounting & Reporting: Calculate and record depreciation for all fixed assets in SAP on Monthly basis Reconcile fixed asset physical with update in SAP. Assist with financial statement and filing disclosures. Ensure compliance with capitalization policies and accounting standards (e.g., IND AS, IFRS, GAAP) Reporting on CAPEX spent against budget - on monthly basis. Reporting on CAPEX CWIP with ageing - on monthly basis.

Compliance & Control: Develop and enforce policies for safeguarding assets and ensuring compliance. Co ordinate for periodic physical inventory counts and reconciliations to verify existence and location. Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and analysis.

Lifecycle Management: Manage the disposal process for obsolete or retired assets. Oversee asset maintenance schedules and coordinate with maintenance teams. Analyze asset performance and recommend improvements to maximize return on investment.

Collaboration & Process Improvement: Collaborate with procurement to ensure proper asset categorization. Work with other departments to improve fixed asset processes and systems. Assist in the preparation and analysis of capital budgets. MIS related to Fixed Assets - Fixed Asset related MIS Depreciation related MIS FA Schedules as per IND AS, SEBI requirement - Monthly, Quarterly, Yearly - as per Financial requirement. Any other reports as may be asked for by Management.

Qualifications Education: Inter CA or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or any related field.

Experience: Proven experience in asset management and accounting on SAP is typically required.

Skills: Strong knowledge of accounting principles (especially fixed assets), financial analysis, and SAP knowledge, proficient in Advnanced Microsoft Excel, knowledge of AI tools preferred.
