Assistant Manager- Banquet

The JW Marriott Hotel in New Delhi Aerocity is looking for an Entry Level Management candidate to lead the banquet staff and assist in executing events according to standards and requirements. As a Manager, you will be responsible for developing and directing the team to deliver consistent and high-quality service. Your role will involve communicating performance expectations, providing training to staff, and overseeing financial and administrative duties. To qualify for this position, you should have a high school diploma or GED along with at least 2 years of experience in event management, food and beverage, or a related professional area. Your core work activities will include managing department operations and inventories, conducting monthly meetings with banquet captains and employees, maintaining sanitation levels, enforcing standards and procedures, ordering necessary supplies, and scheduling banquet service staff to meet forecasted service standards while maximizing profits. Additionally, you will be expected to participate in and lead banquet teams, attend relevant meetings, actively participate in event servicing, broaden your knowledge of food and wine pairings, and ensure exceptional customer service by interacting with guests, handling feedback and complaints, and empowering employees to deliver excellent service. As part of your role, you will also be involved in human resources activities such as interviewing and hiring staff, providing orientation and training, observing service behaviors, reviewing feedback with employees, and participating in corrective action plans.
