Assistant Financial Controller

As a member of the Finance & Accounting team at JW Marriott Hotel New Delhi Aerocity, you will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day execution of general ledger impacted processes. Your role will involve assisting clients in understanding and working with these processes, performing various accounting functions such as account balancing, ledger reconciliation, reporting, and resolving discrepancies. - Coordinate and implement accounting work and projects as assigned - Conduct Accounting SOP audits for all areas of the property - Ensure compliance with Federal and State laws related to fraud and collection procedures - Generate accurate and timely reports, presentations, etc. - Analyze information, evaluate results, and choose the best solutions to solve problems - Balance credit card ledgers and verify contracts for groups - Achieve and exceed performance, budget, and team goals - Develop specific goals and plans to prioritize and organize work effectively - Submit reports in a timely manner and ensure accurate documentation of profits and losses - Monitor applicable taxes, ensuring they are current, collected, and accrued - Maintain a strong accounting and operational control environment to safeguard assets - Provide direction and assistance to other organizational units regarding accounting and budgeting policies and procedures - A 4-year bachelor's degree in Finance and Accounting or a related major with no work experience required - OR a 2-year degree from an accredited university in Finance and Accounting or a related major with 2 years of experience in finance and accounting or a related professional area At Marriott International, we are committed to being an equal opportunity employer that values and celebrates the unique backgrounds of our associates.
