Role Overview: Join Chitkara University's esteemed faculty team at Chitkara Design School as an Assistant/Associate Professor for Product Design (Industrial Design). Your primary responsibility will be designing and developing undergraduate and graduate courses, creating syllabi, defining learning outcomes, and implementing assessment methods aligned with departmental objectives. Deliver engaging lectures, seminars, and interactive teaching methods to foster critical thinking and student engagement. Key Responsibilities: - Design and develop undergraduate and graduate courses in product design, create comprehensive syllabi, and define learning outcomes. - Deliver engaging lectures, seminars, and facilitate discussions to encourage critical thinking and deep understanding. - Implement fair assessment strategies, provide timely feedback, and support student academic progress. - Encourage student engagement through interactive teaching methods, group projects, and discussions. - Offer mentorship by providing academic and career guidance, supervising research projects, and serving on thesis committees. - Engage in departmental activities, university committees, program development, and strategic planning initiatives. - Contribute to community outreach programs, organize events, lectures, and workshops to promote the department and university. - Promote diversity and inclusion within the academic environment, respect diverse perspectives, and backgrounds. - Stay updated with advancements in the field, continuously learn, attend workshops, and engage with professional organizations. Qualifications Required: - Must hold an M.Des. (Product Design/Industrial Design) from a reputable institution.
