Assistant Accountant Intern

Position Summary:

We are looking for an Accountant Intern to join our finance team. This internship will provide you with valuable exposure to accounting practices and financial operations within the FMCG sector. You will assist in day-to-day accounting tasks, financial reporting, and provide support to the accounting team. This is a great opportunity for a student or recent graduate to apply their academic knowledge in a real-world setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in maintaining accurate financial records and ledgers.
• Support in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Assist with accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoicing, payment tracking, and reconciliation.
• Help prepare and verify journal entries and expense reports.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

• Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fields.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel .
• Strong analytical skills and problem-solving ability.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., Tally) is a plus.
• Previous internship or experience in accounting or finance is an advantage.
