AS400/RPG

As an experienced AS400/RPG professional with over 10 years of experience, you will be responsible for a range of technical tasks related to programming in AS400 using DB2, RPG, RPG ILE, embedded SQL RPG ILE, System/36, COBOL, and COBOL ILE. Your role will involve utilizing multiple RPG versions (II, IIIILE) and other programming languages to modify, design, code, test, and analyze software programs and applications. Additionally, you will need to have strong experience in DB2 SQL, Experiment table, and stored procedure creation using SQL. Key Responsibilities: - Programming in AS400 using DB2, RPG, RPG ILE, embedded SQL RPG ILE, System/36, COBOL, and COBOL ILE - Creating new RPG ILE, SQLRPGLE, COBOL programs and modifying older RPG programs - Production support experience including evaluating service level issues, suggesting enhancements, and monitoring software performance tests - Preparing documentation of software requirements and creating technical design recommendations for program development and integration - Strong experience in AS400 CL, CLLE programming, journaling, and triggers - P&C Insurance experience Qualifications Required: - Bachelors Degree in Computer Science/Engineering/MCA - Excellent communication skills (verbal & written) - Successful teamwork experience with demonstrated leadership abilities - Quick learner with strong problem-solving skills - Experience leading a team of developers and working on multiple projects with onsite/client coordination - Ability to work independently This is an excellent opportunity for an AS400/RPG professional with a proven track record in programming and production support.
