AS400/RPG

You have over 10 years of experience in programming on AS400 systems using DB2, RPG, RPG ILE, and embedded SQL RPG ILE, System/36, COBOL & COBOL ILE. You possess a strong command over DB2 SQL, Experiment table, and stored procedure creation using SQL. Your expertise includes utilizing multiple RPG versions (II, IIIILE) and other programming languages to modify, design, code, test, and analyze software programs and applications. Previous experience in P&C Insurance is a plus. You are proficient in AS400 CL, CLLE programming, with hands-on experience in journaling and triggers. You should be capable of creating new RPG ILE, SQLRPGLE, COBOL programs, as well as fixing and modifying older RPG programs. Production support experience is essential, as you will be tasked with evaluating service level issues, suggesting enhancements, and monitoring software performance tests for error correction, improvement targeting, and debugging. Documentation of software requirements and technical design recommendations for program development and integration are also part of your responsibilities. Your essential skills include excellent communication (verbal & written), successful teamwork experience with demonstrated leadership abilities, quick learning of different businesses, strong user support experience, good problem-solving skills, and the ability to lead a team of developers while working on multiple projects with onsite/client coordination. You should also be able to work independently. The educational requirements for this position include a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or MCA.,
