Role Overview

Senior Developer AS/400

Key Responsibilities

• Create and maintain

  technical specifications

  and

  program design documents

  .
• Design, develop, test, and maintain mainframe applications using:
  

• COBOL, CICS, AS/400, JCL, VSAM, DB2

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver all required solution components.
  
• Perform

  code reviews

  , troubleshoot issues, and provide support during

  code red / production incidents

  .
• Ensure compliance with

  coding standards, security policies, and industry best practices

  .
• Provide

  technical mentorship and guidance

  to junior developers.
• Support the

  Team Lead

  in delivery planning, issue resolution, and execution of development activities.
• Work independently while contributing effectively within a team-oriented environment.
  

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in

  Computer Science, Information Technology

  , or a related field.

• 7–8 years

  of experience in mainframe development, support, and deployment.
• Strong hands-on expertise in

  Mainframe Vanilla Technologies

  , including:
• COBOL
  
• CICS
  
• AS/400
  
• JCL
  
• VSAM
  
• DB2
  
• Mandatory experience in the

  Automotive domain

  .
• Strong experience with

  DMS (Dealer Management System)

  .
• Excellent

  problem-solving and analytical skills

  .
• Strong

  communication and interpersonal skills

  .
• Ability to work independently and support leadership in delivery activities.
  

Work & Shift Details

• Work Location:

  Pune – Hinjewadi

• Joining Preference:

  Immediate joiners (latest by

  19th January

  )

• Shift Timings:

• 12:00 PM – 10:00 PM
  
• Employees may leave the office by

  5:00–6:00 PM

  and log in remotely until

  10:00 PM

• Work Model:

  Work From Office –

  4 days per week

Preferred Background

• Candidates with prior experience working with

  Dealer Management Systems

  for automotive OEMs.
