Artwork Designer

1. Role Overview (Summary)

This role is responsible for managing end-to-end customer support operations for commercial and banking card programs. The position requires strong coordination with clients, internal teams, and external vendors to ensure smooth execution of new card launches, artwork development, production planning, quality validation, and timely delivery.

2. Key Responsibilities

A. Client Management

• Act as the primary point of contact for banking and commercial card customers.
• Monitor order progress from vendor confirmation Artwork eproof initiation with vendor - artwork client approval – scheme approval
• Identify risks (material delays, approvals, design issues) and implement corrective measures proactively.
• Understand and gather client requirements for new card launches, including EMV/DI chip features, branding, and security specifications.
• Conduct regular review calls with clients to provide status updates and resolve queries.
• Manage client approvals for design, artwork, samples, and pilot production.
• Verify physical samples, color proofs
• Maintain strong client relationships ensuring high customer satisfaction.

B. Vendor and Supplier Coordination

• Coordinate with printing vendors, card body suppliers, and stationery suppliers for artwork development eproof and sample development.
• Coordinate with Design & Prepress teams for artwork accuracy and print feasibility.
• Ensure timely approval of eproof by scheme ( Visa/Master/RuPay )
• Monitor vendor feasibility and ability for special features card artwork development

C. Internal Stakeholder Collaboration

• Work closely with Sales, Purchase, SCM, Production, QA and commercial team.
• Engage with compliance/legal teams to ensure Visa, MasterCard, RuPay, Diners, and ISO standards are met.
• Ensure all internal departments are aligned on timelines and customer priorities.

D. Artwork Design and Card Development

• Handle complete card artwork design and adaptations.
• Collteral artwork proof validation
• Ensure artworks adhere to ISO standards, scheme guidelines, and manufacturing capabilities.
• Coordinate for physical sample creation, color proofing, and prototype validation.
• Maintain artwork backups for each client across multiple vendors.
• New artwork design creations
• Validation of artwork files received from clients- workability and operational feasibility

3. Skills Required

• Offset and digital printing process
• Graphic designing tool ( Illustrator, CorelDraw, Photoshop ) and basic SAP
• JIRA change Management

• Basic understanding of different types of plastic material properties
