Job Description

we're looking for a talented and enthusiastic

3D Artist

with

2 to 5 years of professional experience

in the game development industry to join our creative team. The ideal candidate is passionate about creating high-quality, immersive game assets and environments, possesses a strong artistic eye, and has a deep understanding of technical optimization for real-time game engines.
Responsibilities:

  • Model Creation Optimization:

    Create high-quality,

    optimized 3D game models

    (props, assets, vehicles, etc) that adhere to technical specifications for performance in-game.

  • Environment Design:

    Design, model, and texture compelling

    3D environments

    (both organic and hard-surface) that contribute to the games overall atmosphere and narrative.

  • Character Art:

    Model, sculpt, and texture detailed and appealing

    character designs

    (both organic and robotic).

  • Animation:

    Create rigging and smooth, believable

    animations

    for characters, props, and environmental elements.

  • Retopology UV Mapping:

    Perform efficient

    retopology

    of high-resolution sculpts for game engine use and create clean, optimized

    UV layouts

    .

  • Texturing Shading:

    Develop PBR-based materials and textures using industry-standard tools.

  • Pipeline Contribution:

    Work within the established asset creation pipeline, ensuring all assets are integrated correctly into the game engine (eg, Unity/Unreal).

  • Collaboration:

    Work closely with Level Designers, Concept Artists, and Engineers to ensure art assets meet design and technical requirements.

  • General 3D Graphics Development:

    Undertake various general tasks related to 3D graphics development, including lighting, VFX support, and technical problem-solving.
Required Skills Qualifications:

  • 2-5 years of professional experience

    as a 3D Artist in the game development industry.

  • Proficiency

    in industry-standard 3D software (eg, Autodesk Maya, Blender, 3ds Max, ZBrush, Substance Painter/Designer).
  • Demonstrated expertise in creating

    optimized 3D game models

    with excellent polygon efficiency and draw-call reduction techniques.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing high-quality work in

    environment design

    and asset creation.
  • Proven ability in

    character design

    and modeling, with a good understanding of human and creature anatomy.
  • Solid experience in

    animation

    principles, rigging, and skinning.
  • Expert-level knowledge of

    retopology

    workflows and clean UV mapping.
  • Experience with a modern game engine (Unity or Unreal Engine) is essential.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to take direction and constructive feedback effectively.
  • Experience developing for mobile or VR/AR platforms.
Bonus Skills (Nice to Have):
  • Experience with Houdini or procedural asset generation tools.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages (eg, Python).
  • Familiarity with photogrammetry workflows.
