Job Description

As an Area Sales Manager at Shri Harsh Dairy, you will play a key role in leading the sales operations in the Khandeshi region of Maharashtra, with your base in Nashik. Your primary responsibility will be to drive sales growth, expand market share, manage distribution networks, and potentially lead a sales team. Your expertise in the Ghee or broader Food FMCG sector will be crucial in achieving and exceeding sales targets and market share objectives for the assigned territory. Your role will involve developing and executing strategic sales plans, identifying new business opportunities, and conducting market analysis to understand trends, competitor activities, and customer needs. You will be required to manage and strengthen relationships with distributors, wholesalers, and key retail accounts to ensure optimal product placement and visibility. Negotiating terms with trade partners and ensuring efficient inventory management will also be part of your responsibilities. If applicable, you will recruit, train, motivate, and manage a team of sales representatives to drive high performance and adherence to sales objectives. Regular field visits to support the team, monitor market activities, and provide on-the-job coaching will be essential. You will also be responsible for implementing trade marketing activities, promotional campaigns, and merchandising initiatives to enhance sales and brand presence. Preparing and presenting regular sales reports, forecasts, and market intelligence to senior management, as well as analyzing sales data to identify areas for improvement, will be critical aspects of your role. Building and maintaining strong customer relationships, addressing their needs, and ensuring high levels of satisfaction will also be key priorities. To excel in this role, you should possess a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field, along with 5-8 years of progressive sales experience in the Ghee Retail Market or related Food FMCG industry. A proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets, strong communication and negotiation skills, and proficiency in MS Office Suite are essential. Fluency in Marathi and English is a must, with knowledge of Hindi being a plus. This is a full-time position that requires the ability to work independently, travel extensively within the Khandeshi region, and be based in Nashik.
