Job Description

Job Title:

Role & responsibilities

  • Sales Management:

    • Oversee and drive the sales of the entire product range within the assigned area.
    • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve and exceed sales targets.
    • Expand market coverage through aggressive sales promotions while adhering to sales policies.
  • Product Launch & Relaunch:

    • Lead the launch and relaunch efforts of new products, ensuring their successful market establishment.
    • Work towards achieving or surpassing the defined sales targets for these products.
  • Payment Collection & Follow-ups:

    • Ensure the timely collection of payments with each order.
    • Maintain consistent follow-ups with depots to ensure the timely execution of orders and collections.
  • Relationship Building:

    • Establish and maintain strong relationships with dealers, distributors, and retailers.
    • Act as the primary point of contact for all stakeholders within the assigned area.
  • MIS Reporting:

    • Prepare and submit timely and accurate Management Information System (MIS) reports to the reporting authority.
    • Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis to optimize sales performance.
  • Field Force Management:

    • Build and control the infrastructure of the field force, ensuring optimal performance.
    • Provide training and support to the field team to enhance their capabilities and drive sales effectiveness.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
  • Proficiency in sales analytics and data interpretation.
  • In-depth knowledge of the FMCG market, specifically in the spices segment.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Preferred Experience:

  • Minimum of 7- 12 years of experience in sales, with a significant portion in the FMCG sector.
  • Proven track record in managing sales teams and achieving targets in a competitive environment.
