Area Manager, Retail Business Development North East

As a Business Development Manager with 7 to 12 years of experience, you will be responsible for various key result areas to drive the retail business forward. Your main focus will be on creating budgeted retail spaces according to the brand requirements and converting Line of Sight properties in Mall/HS to store launches within the allocated budget. Additionally, you will continuously seek new opportunities for conversion throughout the financial year. In order to ensure reach and penetration in the market, you will be required to update market mapping data regularly to identify expansion opportunities and strategically plan timely entries for cost and competitive advantages. Negotiating favorable terms with landlords and mall developers will also be crucial to secure the right locations at the right cost and size for profitable expansions. Forecasting future spaces in potential markets will be an essential aspect of your role, where you will study relevant markets, monitor competition and market activities, and map spaces based on current and forecasted requirements. Building and maintaining relationships with commercial property owners to identify potential marketplaces will also be part of your responsibilities. As part of partnered expansion, you will need to ensure a strong network of franchisees, both existing and new, to support the business growth. Process adherence is key in this role, where you will be expected to learn about and establish processes and systems related to Retail Business Development (RBD) to maintain effective trackers for day-to-day updates and reviews with superiors. Overall, your role as a Business Development Manager will involve strategic planning, market analysis, negotiation skills, and effective communication to drive business expansions, acquisitions, and market knowledge for successful retail business growth.,
