Key Responsibilities:
Project Brief Collection and Analysis:o Collaborate with Senior Designers to gather and understand comprehensive project briefs, ensuring all aspects related to lighting design are covered.o Analyze inputs from various stakeholders to craft a cohesive design vision.Design Development and Review:o Create and develop architectural designs that effectively incorporate lighting solutions for facades, landscapes, and interiors.o Participate in regular design reviews to ensure alignment with project briefs and the incorporation of aesthetic and functional lighting elements.Utilization of Design Software:o Proficiently use AutoCAD for drafting architectural plans and layouts that integrate innovative lighting designs.o Employ SketchUp to create 3D models that accurately represent lighting effects in various environments.o Utilize Photoshop for visual presentations and design enhancements.Adaptability Across Projects:o Demonstrate flexibility by engaging with a variety of project types, ensuring seamless transitions between different project phases and scales.o Manage multiple projects simultaneously, adapting design strategies to meet the unique requirements of each.Team Collaboration and Support:o Work closely with other team members, sharing insights and ideas to foster a collaborative team environment.o Provide support to Senior Designers and collaborate with engineers, contractors, and clients to ensure lighting components are effectively integrated into architectural projects.Time Management and Prioritization:o Organize and prioritize project tasks efficiently to meet deadlines and maintain workflow within the design process.o Proactively identify potential issues and communicate them to the team to manage timelines effectively.Coordination of Project Deliverables:o Collaborate with the internal team to ensure the timely completion of design deliverables and align with project schedules.o Facilitate communication regarding project status, providing updates on design progress, challenges encountered, and proposed solutions.Documentation and Record Maintenance:o Keep comprehensive records of design iterations, client feedback, and project documentation for reference and accountability.o Ensure that all documentation related to lighting design solutions is organized, up-to-date, and easily accessible for team members and stakeholders.Qualifications:Degree in Architecture or a related field.Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Photoshop; familiarity with lighting design principles is a plus.Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on creative solutions for lighting integration.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong emphasis on teamwork.
