Job Summary:The Plumbing and Firefighting Engineer be responsible for designing and implementing comprehensive plumbing and firefighting systems for a variety of building projects. The role will involve collaborating with architects, structural engineers and other disciplines to develop efficient and effective design solutions that ensure health, safety and compliance with local standards and regulations Key Roles and Responsibilities:Responsibility for the overall design of Plumbing & fire protection systems & deliverables, including Concept Design, Schematic Design, Design Development, Tender Design / Documentation (including Technical Specifications, BOQ, Schedules and Drawings)Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, electrical engineers and other design professionals to ensure cohesive project planning and executionExperience in fire protection systems design of sprinklers, external and internal hydrant system, fire pump & tank systems design, hydraulic calculationsExperience in design of water supply, sewerage and drainage system including necessary calculations. Design of comprehensive underground sewerage and storm water systems. Sizing and selecting of location for STP & water tanks. Detail drawing layout for internal & external water and drainage systemAbility to design complete distribution systems to current legislation and codes of practice for various type of buildings based on client brief & guidelinesPrepare comprehensive design documentation including drawings, calculations, technical specifications and reportsAbility to work independently on various calculations and layouts/schematic mark-ups as per project requirementsUnderstanding codes & standards local to project location and utilizing the latest & industry leading softwareAbility to independently create Plumbing & fire protection design mark-ups and perform calculationsTrack project progress and provide regular updates to project managers and stakeholdersQualification and Experience Required BE/BTech/ME/MTech degree in mechanical or civil engineering or a related technical fieldMinimum 2 years of experience in designing of Plumbing & Fire Protection systems for commercial, retail, hospital and residential projects Experience of having worked on AutoCAD for preparing Design layoutsExperience of using MS Office
