As an Applications Development Manager at Issuer Services Technology, your role is crucial in driving applications systems analysis and programming activities to establish and implement new or revised application systems and programs. You will be managing multiple teams to achieve established goals, conduct personnel duties, and ensure project oversight and delivery of solutions to support business growth goals. Your responsibilities include: - Managing multiple teams of staff and vendors/contractors, conducting personnel duties, and providing strategic influence over resources and budget management - Establishing and maintaining regular communications with senior stakeholders from the Business and Operations - Driving the strategic recombination of platforms and applications to align with Digital First and future state goals - End to end staff and delivery management for critical application platforms utilized by Agency & Trust - Utilizing in-depth knowledge of applications development to achieve established goals - Leading annual and mid-year resource and budget planning and ongoing financial reporting activities - Providing organizational and cultural change leadership and change management - Influencing and negotiating with senior leaders across functions and external parties as necessary - Assessing risk and ensuring compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations Your technology skills will include proficiency in Java, Spring, JMS, Angular, SQL Server, and Cognos. The qualifications required for this role include: - 5+ years of senior development management experience - 10+ years hands-on experience developing applications - 3+ years experience delivering software solutions using Agile/iterative methodology - Expert communicator with exceptional negotiation skills - Experience managing vendors through the full vendor engagement life cycle - Ability to inspire and motivate staff towards delivery goals Additionally, the following qualifications are preferred: - Experience using JIRA - ITIL certification - Prior industry experience in Banking/Financial Services or Professional Services/Management Consulting - Stable work history with progressively increasing career responsibility Education: - Bachelors degree/University degree or equivalent experience, preferably in Computer Science or related field - Masters degree preferred Please note the company has aggressive business growth goals for the next 3-5 years and has invested significantly in Technology to support this growth.
