Job Description

The Product Support Representative position at FIS is a full-time role suitable for experienced individuals with a Bachelor of Commerce/Business degree. In this role, you will be responsible for providing in-depth product support to FIS clients. Your primary tasks will include addressing customer concerns related to installation, operation, maintenance, and product application. You will work closely with clients to troubleshoot problems with equipment or software applications and suggest appropriate corrective actions. Furthermore, you will document customer information and recurring technical issues to contribute to product quality improvement programs and product development. To succeed in this role, prior banking experience is preferred. You should possess strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills, along with the ability to work independently. Effective communication and problem-solving abilities are essential, with knowledge of FIS products considered a plus. Key responsibilities also include providing support for application errors, database issues, and system performance. You will collaborate with various teams for issue escalation and resolution, monitor system logs and alerts to identify and address issues, and participate in testing, deployments, updates, and configuration changes. Desirable qualifications for this role include experience in a product support position, understanding of the financial services industry, familiarity with SQL queries and relational databases, knowledge of Linux/Unix and Windows environments, and an understanding of ITIL processes such as incident, problem, and change management. Additionally, familiarity with SDLC methodologies, knowledge of FIS products and services, and awareness of industry standards like ISO and CMM are advantageous. The role also involves communicating technical updates to business users and stakeholders, participating in disaster recovery drills, and applying patches or updates as required.
