Must have skills : Microsoft SQL Server Administration, Logical / Application DBA Good to have skills : NAMinimum 3 year(s) of experience is required Educational Qualification : 15 years full time education Summary :As an Application Support Engineer, you will act as software detectives, providing a dynamic service that identifies and resolves issues within various components of critical business systems. Your typical day will involve collaborating with team members to troubleshoot problems, analyzing system performance, and ensuring the smooth operation of applications that are vital to business functions. You will engage with users to understand their challenges and work diligently to implement effective solutions, all while maintaining a focus on service excellence and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities:Manage and maintain SQL Server databases across development, test, and production environments.Perform in-depth SQL query tuning, index optimization, execution plan analysis, and resource utilization monitoring.Collaborate with developers to optimize stored procedures, views, and functions.Conduct regular performance assessments using tools like Query Store, Extended Events, Profiler, and DMVs.Troubleshoot database-related performance issues including slow queries, blocking/deadlocks, and high CPU/memory usage.Participate in application release cycles and ensure database code aligns with performance best practices.Maintain database standards and support capacity planning, disaster recovery, and backup/restore strategies.Monitor database health and implement proactive measures to ensure stability and performance.Work closely with application teams to provide DBA support during development and UAT.Flexible to work in 24x7 shift. Technical Experience:The candidate should have 3-6 years of experience as SQL Server DBA, Azure SQL, and Azure DBs.Strong knowledge of SQL Server 2016/2019/2022 and T-SQL programming.Proven experience in database performance tuning and query optimization.Experience with SQL Profiler, Query Store, Extended Events, and Dynamic Management Views (DMVs).Experience in index strategy, statistics maintenance, and execution plan analysis.Familiarity with database architecture concepts including partitioning, replication, and high availability (Always On, Log Shipping, etc.).Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Additional Information:- The candidate should have minimum 3 years of experience in Microsoft SQL Server Administration.- This position is based at our Bengaluru office.- A 15 years full time education is required.
