SummaryAs an Application Support Engineer, you will act as software detectives, providing a dynamic service that identifies and solves issues within multiple components of critical business systems. Your typical day will involve collaborating with various teams to troubleshoot and resolve software-related challenges, ensuring the smooth operation of essential applications and systems. You will engage in problem-solving activities, analyze system performance, and contribute to the overall efficiency of business processes, all while maintaining a focus on delivering high-quality support to users and stakeholders.
Roles & Responsibilities: Administer, configure, and maintain Veeam Backup & Replication and Commvault Complete Backup & Recovery platforms.
Design and manage backup policies, job schedules, retention settings, and repositories for on-prem and cloud workloads. Monitor backup health, troubleshoot failures, and ensure timely completion of jobs. Perform test restores, full restores, and file-level recoveries on demand. Implement and manage backups foroVMware, Hyper-V, and physical machines oCloud workloads (AWS EC2, Azure VMs, Microsoft 365, Azure Blob, S3, etc.) oDatabases such as SQL Server, Oracle, SAP HANA, etc. Leverage object storage and cloud repositories for offsite/long-term retention and immutability. Ensure integration with cloud-native platforms for disaster recovery and long-term archiving. Implement encryption, air-gapped backups, immutability, and access control policies. Support audits, data retention, GDPR, HIPAA, and other regulatory requirements. Ensure backups comply with corporate security standards and disaster recovery policies. Create automation scripts (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, or REST APIs) for backup tasks and reporting. Optimize storage consumption and backup windows through deduplication, compression, and tuning. Conduct performance tuning and capacity planning. Use native monitoring tools (e.g., Veeam ONE, Commvault Command Center) to track job status, alerts, and SLA compliance. Produce regular reports on backup success rates, recovery points, and capacity utilization. Maintain detailed documentation of backup architecture, policies, and procedures. 1.5+ years hands-on experience with Veeam and Commvault in medium to large-scale environments. Experience supporting hybrid or multi-cloud environments (Azure, AWS, etc.).

Additional Information: The candidate should have minimum 3 years of experience in Commvault Backup Administration.This position is based at our Bengaluru office.A 15 years full time education is required.
