Application Support Analyst(SRE)

Role Overview: The Data Solutions organization at Citi aims to support the company in adopting a data-driven culture by delivering innovative technology solutions and simplifying access to quality data and business intelligence. The Data Solutions Production Management team provides business-critical application management and support to SMBF clients globally, emphasizing technical and operational excellence through engineering, innovation, learning, risk management, and automation. Key Responsibilities: - Provide technical and business support for users of Citi Applications, utilizing a good understanding of apps support procedures and concepts. - Field issues and queries from stakeholders, provide short-term resolutions, and collaborate with relevant technology partners for long-term remediation. - Act as a liaison between users/traders, internal technology groups, and vendors. - Participate in disaster recovery testing and application releases, from development to deployment into production. - Analyze applications to identify risks, vulnerabilities, and security issues, working with development colleagues to prioritize bug fixes and support tooling requirements. - Participate in Support Project items, covering Stability, Efficiency, and Effectiveness initiatives. - Perform other assigned duties and functions with limited direct supervision, demonstrating independence of judgment and autonomy. - Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) to senior stakeholders and/or other team members. Qualifications: - 5+ years of experience. - Minimum 2 years of Python development experience. - Advanced scripting skills for automating tasks, provisioning, deployments, and operational workflows using Python. - Deep knowledge of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles such as SLOs, SLAs, SLIs, error budgets, toil reduction, incident management, etc. - Proficiency in Linux command-line tools, process management, file systems, user/group management, system services, UNIX, SQL, and scripting. - Basic business knowledge/understanding of financial markets and products. - Experience with problem management tools. - Ability to plan and organize workload, communicate effectively with stakeholders, and work well in a team environment. - Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience.
