Application Manager / Proposal Engineer

Job Summary:

Application/Proposal Manager with 8 to 10 years of experience in Automation & Material handling systems. The ideal candidate must have strong expertise in AutoCAD and 3D design, along with excellent communication and analytical skills.

This role involves developing technical proposals, designing solutions, and collaborating with sales and engineering teams to meet customer requirements.

Responsibilities

• Proposal & Estimation:
• Analyze customer inquiries, RFQs, and technical specifications.
• Prepare technical proposals, cost estimations, and commercial offers.
• Coordinate with the sales team to define project scope and pricing strategies.
• Design & Engineering:
• Develop 2D and 3D layouts for material handling systems using AutoCAD and 3D modeling software (SolidWorks, Inventor, or similar).
• Create conceptual designs and optimize solutions based on customer needs.
• Ensure designs comply with engineering standards, safety regulations, and feasibility.
• Customer Interaction & Communication:
• Communicate effectively with customers to understand technical requirements.
• Present and explain proposals, technical solutions, and cost structures.
• Assist in negotiations and technical discussions with clients.
• Coordination & Documentation:
• Work closely with internal departments like sales, design, and production teams.
• Maintain detailed project documentation, drawings, and technical data.
• Provide technical support during the execution phase.

Requirements. Key Skills & Competencies:

1. Application/Proposal Manager with 5 to 10 years of experience in Automation & Material handling systems.

2. Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and 3D design software (SolidWorks/Inventor).

3. Good knowledge of material handling systems (conveyors, lifts, automated storage, etc.).

4. Excellent technical analysis and problem-solving skills.

5. Strong communication and presentation skills.

6. Ability to work on multiple projects and meet deadlines.

7. Knowledge of cost estimation and proposal preparation.
