Application Engineering Leader

In this role as a Technical Sales Engineer at Milacron, your primary responsibilities will include: - Advising and supporting sales and customers in selecting the correct equipment for specific applications - Providing technical support and direction for existing product lines - Traveling for customer training, presentations, machine/cycle optimization, and supporting field installations - Directing the work of process engineers and Technical Service engineer/manager to collect data for machine sizing - Assisting process engineers in installing customer molds for demonstrating machines to customers and sales demonstrations - Becoming a subject matter expert with all Milacron control systems - Designing and performing testing as required for future sizing requirements and machine design criteria - Completing and documenting machine/processing testing - Providing technical reports to customers, engineering, and suppliers - Communicating professionally with the sales force, customers, engineering, and the organization - Traveling for trade shows for setup/teardown and during the show - Lifting or moving up to 50 pounds - Working around moving equipment, fork trucks, cranes, heavy equipment, etc. - Working flexible hours on short notice Your skills should include: - Effectively building and/or managing an applications team - Multitasking and handling multiple projects simultaneously - Proficiency in PC-based applications, including Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, and 3D CAD Model & Analysis per Creo - Understanding of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and thermodynamic systems - Mechanical aptitude and knowledge of molding/tooling (preferred) - Strong mathematical and analytical aptitude - Ability to read technical drawings and documents - Traveling 20%-30% The ideal candidate will have a 2-Year Degree in Engineering Technology and 2 years of related experience, with a Bachelor's degree preferred.
