Project Role : Application Developer Project Role Description : Design, build and configure applications to meet business process and application requirements. Must have skills : Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) Good to have skills : NA Minimum 3 year(s) of experience is required Educational Qualification : 15 years full time education Summary :As an Application Developer, you will design, build, and configure applications to meet business process and application requirements. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth functioning of applications and addressing any issues that arise. Your typical day will involve collaborating with the team to understand requirements, designing and developing applications, and testing and debugging code to ensure its functionality and performance. Responsibilities:Development:Design and develop healthcare data integration solutions using Edifecs products.Testing:Develop and execute test plans and test cases to ensure the quality and accuracy of healthcare data exchanges.EDI Transactions:Work with various EDI transaction sets, including but not limited to 837, 835, 834, 270/271, 276/277, and 278.Mapping:Create and maintain data maps for translating various healthcare data formats.Troubleshooting:Identify, analyze, and resolve issues related to data integration and EDI transactions.Collaboration:Work closely with business analysts, developers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and provide effective solutions.Documentation:Document test plans, test cases, and other relevant processes and procedures.Continuous Improvement:Stay updated with the latest industry trends and tools in healthcare data integration and recommend improvements to existing processes. Qualifications:Education:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.Experience:Minimum of 5 +years of experience with Edifecs products, including development and testing.5+ years experience with healthcare EDI transactions and formats.Strong understanding of healthcare data integration processes and standards.Technical Skills:Proficiency with Edifecs tools such as SpecBuilder, XEngine, and Transaction Management.Experience with EDI standards (X12, HL7, etc.).Familiarity with SQL and database management.Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, Perl) is a plus.Soft Skills:Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Preferred Qualifications:Certifications:Relevant certifications in Edifecs or healthcare data integration.Domain Knowledge:Experience in the healthcare industry, particularly in payer or provider settings.Tools:Experience with other data integration tools and platform Additional Information: The candidate should have a minimum of 3 years of experience in Electronic Data Interchange (EDI).
