Application Administrator

We are looking for a proactive and technically skilled Web Application Support Engineer to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience supporting web applications hosted on both Windows and Linux servers, along with a foundational understanding of databases. Experience with Microsoft Azure IaaS and PaaS services is a significant advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide end-to-end support for web applications across Windows and Linux environments.
• Monitor server and application performance, ensuring uptime and reliability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application issues, including server errors, configuration problems, and connectivity issues.
• Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to deploy updates, patches, and new releases.
• Maintain accurate documentation for support procedures, configurations, and known issues.
• Perform routine server maintenance and log analysis.
• Assist with basic database tasks such as running queries, checking data integrity, and performance tuning.
• Support applications hosted on Microsoft Azure, including IaaS (VMs, storage, networking) and PaaS (App Services, Azure SQL, etc.).
• Participate in on-call rotation and respond to critical incidents.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience supporting web applications on Windows and Linux servers.
• Familiarity with web servers (IIS, Apache, Nginx) and application servers.
• Basic knowledge of SQL and relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL).
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure IaaS/PaaS services.
• Understanding of networking concepts, firewalls, and load balancers.
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Azure Monitor).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and documentation abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with cloud platforms beyond Azure.
• Knowledge of scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash).
• Exposure to DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines.
• ITIL certification or experience in IT service management.
