Job Description

As an experienced Technical Support Engineer, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving technical problems faced by Apigee customers. Your primary skills should include a good understanding of Apigee Edge Cloud and Private Cloud (OPDK) products, as well as strong troubleshooting abilities in API Management and Gateway systems, particularly Apigee. Your expertise should extend to system and network administration in Linux/Unix or Windows operating systems, along with a solid grasp of networking fundamentals like TCP/IP, Routing, and Load Balancing. Additionally, you should possess in-depth knowledge of web technologies such as HTTP, HTML, DNS, TCP, and REST APIs. Your key responsibilities will include owning, troubleshooting, and resolving complex technical issues, leading and managing customer escalations and critical problems, as well as creating and delivering high-quality incident reports for critical issues. You will also be expected to mentor other team members on handling and managing complex/critical issues while developing a strong understanding of Apigee product technology and enhancements through troubleshooting and root cause analysis. In terms of qualifications, the desired skills for this role include: - Troubleshooting and resolving technical problems using Apigee product skills, debugging, networking, and system administration - Strong knowledge of Apigee Edge Cloud and Private Cloud (OPDK) products and architecture - System/network administrator level knowledge of Linux/Unix or Windows operating systems - Knowledge of Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, Routing, Load Balancing, etc.) - Solid knowledge of web technologies (HTTP, HTML, DNS, TCP, etc.) and REST APIs - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Excellent written and verbal communication skills Your secondary skill set should include strong analytical and problem-solving skills, along with excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
