Title: API Tester

Location: Bangalore, India

designing, authoring, and executing test cases

How you will create impact:

Responsibilities:

• Creation of test designs, test cases and test execution.
• Participate in walkthroughs of testing procedures.
• Automation of test cases
• Reporting the defects in detail in the defect management system.
• Interact with Development team for Defect Discussion
• Prepare all reports related to software testing carried out.
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
• To understand the specifications of the software from the requirements specifications or story boards or any other document and author test cases and execute the same to ensure that the delivery meets the implicit and explicit requirements of the customer

Essential qualifications:

• 3-5 years of relevant experience in the testing field.
• Should hold B.Tech/MCA/M.Tech degree from a reputed university.
• Strong experience in API and UI automation.
• Work experience with Postman, SOAPUI/Rest Assured tool for testing the API.
• Good knowledge in testing and automating integration platforms using REST APIs with Java as the development language.
• Good understanding of PL/SQL or DB Concepts
• Work with test/defect management tools.
• Good to have knowledge of testing tools like Selenium, JMeter.
• Expertise in Linux commands execution.
• Hands on experience in product testing in financial domain.
• Exposure to security tools would be an added advantage.
• Knowledge on Software testing Life cycles and Software Development Life Cycle.
• Proficient in Banking and Financial domain.
