Job Description

Job Summary:

API Tester

Key Responsibilities:

Design and execute
manual and automated test cases
for REST and SOAP APIs.
Validate API responses, schemas, headers, parameters, and authentication mechanisms.
Develop
automated API test scripts
using tools like
Postman, RestAssured, or Karate
.
Participate in
functional, integration, regression, and performance testing
of APIs.
Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and QA teams to understand requirements and test scenarios.
Log defects, track issues, and verify fixes using tools like
JIRA or Azure DevOps
.
Integrate API tests into
CI/CD pipelines
using Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar tools.
Ensure comprehensive
test coverage
and maintain reusable API test frameworks.
Document test results and prepare detailed reports for stakeholders.
