API Software Engineer I

As a Software Engineer at Zinnia, you will play a crucial role in executing the product vision to develop a modern, scalable, and persona-driven customer identity and access management system for Life & Annuities solutions. Working alongside a team of talented engineers, you will contribute to creating a reusable and maintainable design framework, ensuring rapid and consistent customer authentication and authorization solutions. Your leadership skills, exceptional understanding of users and API security, and a successful track record of delivery will be key assets in this role. Your responsibilities will include designing and implementing API policies, procedures, and guidelines, developing enterprise API solutions using the Kong platform, integrating the CIAM solution for both internal and external APIs, and collaborating with the CIAM team to enhance client service capabilities. To excel in this role, you should possess a Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related technical field, along with at least 2 years of software development experience using typescript frameworks like NestJS. Additionally, a solid understanding of supporting APIs, working knowledge of AWS services, familiarity with common DevOps tasks, and experience in Agile/Scrum environments are required. Your strong work ethic, strategic thinking skills, and ability to work independently and travel as needed will be valuable assets in this role.
