API Automation Testing

You should have 4 to 8 years of experience for this role based in Noida with immediate notice period to serving notice. As a Test Automation Engineer, your responsibilities will include designing, developing, and maintaining automated test scripts for RESTful APIs using tools like Postman, RestAssured, or similar frameworks. You will be responsible for performing functional, integration, regression, and performance testing of APIs. Developing test strategies, plans, and test cases to ensure comprehensive test coverage will be a key part of your role. Additionally, you will debug, analyze, and report defects, working closely with development teams to resolve issues. Integrating automated API tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab, or similar will also be a part of your responsibilities. You will utilize tools like Charles, Fiddler, or Wireshark to debug and inspect API traffic, monitor API performance and reliability, ensuring compliance with SLAs and performance benchmarks, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure API requirements and specifications are met. Maintaining detailed and accurate documentation of test processes, results, and defect tracking will also be essential. To succeed in this role, you must have a solid understanding of RESTful web services, JSON, and XML data formats. Proficiency in API testing tools like Postman, RestAssured, SoapUI, or similar is required. Hands-on experience with automation frameworks and libraries such as TestNG, Cucumber is necessary. You should have expertise in developing and maintaining API automation scripts using tools like RestAssured, Postman, or similar frameworks. Strong programming skills in Java/Python are essential. Experience in API performance testing using tools like JMeter, LoadRunner, or similar is preferred. Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD is a plus. Knowledge of API security best practices, including OAuth, JWT, and token authentication, as well as knowledge of microservices architecture and its testing strategies, will be beneficial for this role.,
