API Architect/developer

Job Description

Job Title : Apache Camel API Developer / API architect tech lead Location: Chennai Role and Responsibilities Proficiency in Apache Camel, Spring Boot, and Microservices . Experience with API Management tools such as Apigee, WSO2, and IBM API Gateway (advantageous). Expertise in debugging and developing Backend for Frontend (BFF) APIs . Preferred experience in container-based deployment , including OpenShift. Hands-on experience in developing Business and Integration APIs and working with Swagger . Familiarity with log aggregation tools like ELK, EFK, Vector Loki. Leading API design and implementation , including Integration and Business APIs, and Backend for Frontend APIs . Strong understanding of domain knowledge . Knowledge of Enterprise Integration Patterns . Ensuring compliance with architectural standards, best practices, and governance policies , including security, performance, scalability, and reliability. Capability to map APIs for integration based on end-user application flow . Experience in the banking domain (preferred). Ability to design APIs following Open API 3.X specifications (must). Hands-on experience in Microservices architecture and design patterns . Strong understanding of HTTP and HTTPS protocols , including HTTP Headers, XML/JSON data formats, SOAP, and REST services (must). Proficiency in source code management tools . Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines , including Jenkins (must) and Azure DevOps . Knowledge of performance optimization techniques. Ability to analyze logs for issue identification within the environment. Maintaining API specification documents .
