ANSA and HYPERMESH

About the Role:

We are looking for a talented and motivated CAE Modeler to join our engineering team. The candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality finite element models for automotive components, with a focus on plastics and sheet metal. The role involves working closely with design and analysis engineers to ensure accurate representation of components for simulation purposes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform mid-surface extraction and mid-element generation of plastics and sheet metal components for automotive applications.
• Ensure mesh quality by performing mesh flow corrections, element quality clearing, and connectivity checks.
• Assign accurate thickness values and material properties to components based on design specifications.
• Work on preprocessing of CAE models to ensure readiness for simulation (FEA/Crash/Structural Analysis).
• Collaborate with design engineers to understand part geometry and ensure models represent real-world conditions accurately.
• Maintain documentation of CAE modeling processes and standards.

Skills and Tools Required:

• Proficient in CAE preprocessing tools: ANSA, Hypermesh, Meshworks.
• Hands-on experience in automotive component modeling (plastics/sheet metal).
• Understanding of finite element modeling concepts and simulation workflows.
• Ability to identify and correct mesh flow errors, element distortions, and ensure overall model quality.
• Knowledge of mid-surface extraction, thickness assignment, and structural modeling techniques.
• Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced engineering environment.
