Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Pet Groomer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with animals and providing top-notch grooming services to our clients' beloved pets. As a Pet Groomer, you will be responsible for grooming pets according to owner specifications and breed standards, ensuring their comfort and well-being throughout the grooming process. Additionally, you will maintain a clean and organized grooming area and provide excellent customer service to pet owners. Responsibilities: Groom pets according to owner specifications, breed standards, and grooming industry best practices. Bathe, brush, trim, and style pets' fur according to their breed and the owner's preferences. Perform nail trims, ear cleaning, and other grooming-related tasks with care and precision. Assess pets' coat and skin condition and report any abnormalities or health concerns to pet owners. Handle pets safely and gently during grooming procedures, ensuring their comfort and well-being at all times. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the grooming area, including equipment, tools, and work surfaces. Manage grooming appointments and maintain accurate records of services provided. Provide exceptional customer service, including addressing client inquiries, scheduling appointments, and discussing grooming options. Stay informed about current grooming trends, techniques, and products through ongoing training and professional development. Collaborate with veterinary staff or other professionals as needed to address specific pet health or grooming issues. Adhere to Tailsway's protocols and guidelines for delivering veterinary services. Requirements: 1 to 3 years of experience as a Pet Groomer or similar role, with a portfolio or references demonstrating grooming skills. Must have experience in Lhasa Apso, Shih Tzu face cutting and grooming.. Additional certifications or training in specialty grooming services preferred (e.g., hand stripping, creative grooming, face cutting). Patience, compassion, and a genuine love for animals. Deep understanding of different pet breeds, pet behavior, body language, coat types, and grooming requirements. Strong knowledge of grooming tools, techniques, and products. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with pet owners and coworkers. Ability to lift and restrain pets of various sizes and temperaments safely. Attention to detail and a commitment to providing high-quality grooming services. Comfortable with traveling within the assigned city and Flexible to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
