Job Title: Andrology TechnicianLocation: Hoskote Branch – [Insert Hospital/Clinic Name]Department: IVF & Reproductive MedicineReports to: Chief Embryologist / IVF Lab Manager / Center HeadJob Type: Full-Time / Shift-BasedPosition Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Andrology Technician to join our IVF team at the Hoskote branch. The technician will be responsible for semen analysis, sperm preparation for assisted reproductive techniques (IUI, IVF, ICSI), and other laboratory duties related to male infertility evaluation and treatment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine semen analysis (volume, motility, morphology, concentration, vitality).
  • Conduct advanced sperm function tests such as DNA fragmentation (DFI), HOS test, and ROS measurement.
  • Handle sperm processing techniques for IUI, IVF, and ICSI procedures (e.g., density gradient, swim-up method).
  • Ensure accurate labeling, tracking, and documentation of all samples and test results.
  • Maintain and calibrate andrology lab equipment (centrifuges, incubators, CASA systems, microscopes, etc.).
  • Assist embryologists during IVF cycles with sperm preparation and oocyte-sperm coordination.
  • Maintain a sterile and compliant laboratory environment following quality control (QC) and infection control protocols.
  • Comply with all clinical SOPs, NABL/NABH standards, and ART guidelines.
  • Manage cryopreservation of semen samples (freezing/thawing protocols) and record-keeping of donor and patient samples.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and provide clear communication with clinical teams.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Education: B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Medical Lab Technology, or related field.
  • Certification: Andrology or embryology training preferred.
  • Experience: 1–3 years in an IVF lab or andrology lab. Freshers with relevant training may be considered.
  • Knowledge of:
  • WHO Semen Analysis Guidelines
  • ART Act & Guidelines (India)
  • Semen freezing and donor sperm protocols

Key Skills:

  • Attention to detail and manual dexterity
  • Familiarity with sperm preparation techniques
  • Understanding of biosafety and aseptic techniques
  • Good communication and coordination with clinical/embryology teams
  • Computer skills for lab data entry and reporting

Work Environment:

  • Lab-based environment with flexible shift timings
  • May include weekend/holiday duties during IVF cycles
  • Adherence to sterile environment protocols

Salary Range:

₹18,000 – ₹35,000/month (Depending on experience and skill level)

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹200,000.00 - ₹400,000.00 per year
