Android Malware Analyst

You will be responsible for analyzing Android malware by performing static and dynamic analysis. This includes reverse-engineering malicious APKs and SDKs to understand their behavior and intent, as well as identifying spyware, trojans, rootkits, and other threats. You will also analyze network traffic and backend systems for vulnerabilities and data leakage. Your findings will need to be documented and presented in reports to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Additionally, you will participate in client-facing activities and mentor junior analysts. It would be beneficial if you can develop detection signatures such as YARA rules and improve threat detection pipelines and automation systems. You will also be involved in creating custom reverse engineering tools and scripts, as well as automating analysis tasks to enhance efficiency. In this role, you will work with tools such as Ghidra, IDA Pro, Frida, Jadx, Burp Suite, and HTTPToolkit for reverse engineering. You should be proficient in programming languages like Java, Kotlin, JavaScript, Flutter, and Python. Familiarity with platforms and frameworks like VirusTotal, ExploitDB, and MITRE ATT&CK, as well as security techniques such as static/dynamic analysis, penetration testing, and vulnerability assessment, will be essential. Basic knowledge of Android internals and lifecycle, mobile app store policies and security best practices, network traffic analysis and protocol interception, PHA category definitions, IOCs, SOC operations, SIEM configuration, and IDS/IPS systems is also required for this role.
