Anaplan Consultant - CA

Role & responsibilities

• Gathering Requirements: Working closely with stakeholders to understand their business processes, data sources, and specific requirements for planning and analysis.
• Model Design: Translating gathered requirements into Anaplan models by structuring data, creating modules, establishing relationships, and defining calculations/formulas to represent business logic accurately.
• Data Integration: Integrating data from different sources (such as ERP systems, spreadsheets, databases) into Anaplan, ensuring data consistency and accuracy.
• Testing and Validation: Conducting thorough testing to ensure the functionality and accuracy of the models, validating against real-world scenarios and expected outcomes.
• Model Maintenance: Regularly updating and enhancing Anaplan models based on changing business needs, new data sources, or process improvements.
• User Training and Support: Providing guidance and training to users on how to navigate and utilize Anaplan models effectively. Offering ongoing support for any issues or questions that arise.
• Collaboration: Working collaboratively with cross-functional teams, such as finance, sales, operations, and IT, to align the Anaplan models with various departments' needs.
• Continuous Improvement: Identifying opportunities to optimize existing models, streamline processes, and improve the overall efficiency of planning and decision-making using Anaplan.
• An Anaplan model builder typically needs a combination of technical skills, including proficiency in Anaplan's platform, understanding of business processes, data modeling skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with different stakeholders to ensure the models meet the organization's requirements.

Preferred candidate profile

• Chartered Accountant
• Well versed with advanced MS Excel skills (deep knowledge of formulas, creating automated data frameworks using formulas, power query etc.)
• Functional Knowledge on Financial Planning.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability and desire to be pro-active in initiatives and completing the assigned tasks
