Analyst - Data Analytics & Innovation

Role Overview: American Airlines is looking for an Analyst, Data Analytics & Innovation to join their team in Hyderabad, India. As part of the Revenue Management team, you will be responsible for advancing the application and governance of data and advanced analytics. Your role will involve participating in projects related to statistical and machine learning models, generating data reports and visualizations, and collaborating with various departments within the company on business intelligence and analytics. Key Responsibilities: - Build and maintain robust, reusable reports, dashboards, and analytical tools for Pricing and Yield Management teams - Influence Revenue Management direction through data analysis, reports, process improvement, and competitive analysis - Develop tools to improve decision-making processes and enhance self-service analytics - Write SQL queries and Python scripts to extract, transform, and analyze large data sets - Design data mining and big data-oriented solutions for business needs - Identify opportunities for automation and contribute to innovation projects - Collaborate with business partners to deliver accurate and timely solutions aligned with business needs - Promote initiatives to increase transparency and visibility of reports and data sources - Actively participate in documentation efforts to organize and maintain updated data definitions and report specifications - Provide production support by maintaining existing reports, troubleshooting, and issue resolution Qualification Required: Minimum Qualifications - Education & Prior Job Experience: - Bachelor's degree in business, Engineering, or a related field - 3+ years of experience in analytics, BI, or a data-driven role - Experience working with cloud data platforms Preferred Qualifications - Education & Prior Job Experience: - Previous experience within airline, travel, e-commerce, or related field - Experience with dashboarding tools like Tableau or Power BI with complex data sources - Experience with workflow automation - Exposure to AI and emerging technologies, with experience building or deploying GenAI tools - Flexible and capable of working effectively with people of diverse backgrounds Skills, Licenses, and Certifications: - Proficiency in SQL, Python, and BI tools for advanced data analytics and reporting - Ability to work with complex data sets for actionable insights - Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment - Experience with scripting languages for automation and advanced analytics - Proactively identify opportunities for efficiency and innovation Additional Company Details: American Airlines values inclusion and diversity, which are the foundation of their dynamic workforce.
