Description
Role Overview: You will be actively supporting the Global Financial Markets (GFM) data analytics capability by sourcing, compiling, designing, and analyzing structured and unstructured data. Your role will involve delivering data visualization using BI tools, extracting and cleansing data, and applying analytics and machine learning techniques to uncover meaningful insights for potential business opportunities. Additionally, you will work closely with various teams across DBS to streamline data deliverables and prioritize tasks in alignment with business objectives. Key Responsibilities: - Partner with GFM teams to assess business needs and identify opportunities for applying data analytics and tools - Assist in defining analytical strategy, including approaches, data requirements, and technology needs - Prioritize tasks based on revenue impact and achieve yearly data revenue targets - Streamline data deliverables in coordination with multiple business stakeholders across the bank - Perform data back-end tasks such as extraction, transformation, loading, and data cleansing - Explore use cases for advanced data analytics models using AI/ML, deep learning, and statistical methods - Create effective data visualizations using BI tools to present key findings to senior management - Collaborate with Business teams on data-led experiments and campaigns to measure outcomes - Identify and resolve data gaps, evaluate business impact, and coordinate with Tech team - Assist in automating and deploying data analytics models in a banking environment - Work with Data Manager and Data Scientist colleagues on building, testing, and optimizing machine learning models - Ideate, explore, and assess new data solutions, procure budget, and implement for business impact - Coordinate with data governance teams to ensure completion of governance workflow for data usage and solutions Qualifications Required: - General understanding of Financial Markets, with emphasis on Equity, FX, Credit, and Interest Rate products - Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, creativity, and interest in data analytics - Hands-on experience in Python, PySpark, R, SQL, or other statistical program languages - Experience with data visualization tools, preferably Tableau - Ability to multitask, efficient project management, and effective interpersonal and organizational skills - Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or equivalent field - 2-3 years of relevant experience in Data Analysis, Data Science, or Business Intelligence Additional Company Details (if present): The position will report to the Head of Digital and Data, GFM India, and will be part of the wider DBS Global Financial Markets Data Analytics team and Group GFM Data Chapter. The team will set the Data Roadmap strategy for the Global Financial Markets regional group. You will collaborate with various BU and SU teams across DBS, including Treasury Trading teams, Retail, Institutional, and Wealth Sales teams, Business Management teams, and support functions like IT, Operations, Legal & Compliance, and Finance.,
