Analyst - Credit Risk

As a Credit Risk professional at Goldman Sachs, you will be responsible for managing the firm's credit exposure to trading and lending counterparties. Your role will involve assessing the credit and financial strength of corporate borrowers and counterparts through fundamental credit analysis using quantitative and qualitative factors. You will review loan transactions, monitor credit trends, perform distressed analysis, and estimate potential impairments. Additionally, you will analyze the credit implications of various financial transactions on corporate clients and present your findings to senior leadership. Key Responsibilities: - Assess credit and financial strength of counterparties through fundamental credit analysis - Review loan transactions, monitor credit trends, and estimate potential impairments - Analyze credit implications of financial transactions on corporate clients - Build and maintain financial projection models - Collaborate with Risk Engineering colleagues to identify and solve for operating efficiency - Spread historical and projected financials in Credit systems and perform analysis - Coordinate with global colleagues in GS Risk teams and other divisions - Support key Risk governance and approval committees Qualifications: - Minimum Bachelor's degree in business or finance, Master's preferred - 1-4 years of experience in a related corporate credit risk role - Experience in credit analysis, ratings analysis, corporate finance, or research desired - Strong academic background and highly motivated - Team player with effective communication skills - Ability to learn quickly and manage multiple assignments concurrently - Familiarity with regulatory rating requirements preferred - Strong analytical and presentational skills About Goldman Sachs: Goldman Sachs is a leading global investment banking, securities, and investment management firm committed to fostering diversity and inclusion.
