Analyst - Credit Risk

Role Overview: You will be a part of the Credit Research Group at Goldman Sachs, responsible for assessing the credit and financial strength of corporate, financial institution, and sovereign counterparties through fundamental credit analysis. Your role will involve performing counterparty analysis, risk management, and presenting findings to senior leadership. Key Responsibilities: - Assess the credit and financial strength of corporate borrowers using quantitative and qualitative factors - Review loan transactions, monitor credit trends, and estimate potential impairments - Analyze credit implications of financial transactions like debt, equity offerings, mergers, and acquisitions - Build and maintain financial projection models - Collaborate with Risk Engineering colleagues for operating efficiency - Spread financials in Credit systems, perform peer comparison, and identify trends for creditworthiness assessment - Coordinate with global colleagues in GS Risk teams and other divisions - Support key Risk governance and approval committees Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in business or finance, Master's preferred - 1-4 years of experience in corporate credit risk role with expertise in credit analysis, ratings analysis, and corporate finance - Background in finance and accounting - Strong academic background and motivation - Ability to work effectively with colleagues globally - Quick learner with strong organizational skills - Familiarity with regulatory rating requirements preferred - Excellent analytical, presentation, and communication skills,
