Analyst, Accounts Payable

As a Finance professional at Colgate-Palmolive, your role involves a comprehensive understanding of invoice processing, reconciliation, and financial controls to maintain high data integrity and support timely financial closing. Your responsibilities will include: - Reviewing, verifying, and posting purchase order (PO) and non-PO invoices with high efficiency and accuracy. - Understanding and accurately passing Goods in Transit (GIT) and accrual entries during periodic book closings. - Performing vendor account reconciliations, resolving discrepancies, and securing necessary sign-offs. - Analyzing old vendor balances, reviewing debit balances, and resolving issues, including flagging exceptions in open Purchase Orders. - Generating, analyzing, and clearing Goods Receipt/Invoice Receipt (GR/IR) reports and addressing Level 2 support inquiries from suppliers and internal customers. - Reviewing the SOP periodically and recommending necessary changes in consultation with relevant stakeholders. - Ensuring timely submission and maintenance of SOX documentation. - Participating in standardization and continuous improvement initiatives, as well as other business partner initiatives. - Ensuring a prompt response to queries of the local business.
