Job Description

An Anaesthesia Technician plays a crucial role in the operating room by assisting anaesthesiologists and ensuring the safe delivery of anaesthesia to patients undergoing surgical procedures. The technician is responsible for preparing anaesthesia equipment and supplies, monitoring patients vital signs during surgery, and maintaining anaesthesia machinery. They work closely with medical teams to provide optimal care and support in a fast-paced environment.

- Assist anaesthesiologists in the preparation and administration of anaesthesia.
- Set up and calibrate anaesthesia machines and life support equipment. - Monitor patient vital signs, including heart rate, blood pressure, and oxygen saturation, during surgical procedures. - Ensure that all anaesthesia equipment is functioning properly and report any malfunctions. - Prepare and maintain anaesthesia supplies, medications, and other necessary materials. - Provide support in emergency situations, including resuscitation efforts. - Work collaboratively with nurses, surgeons, and other healthcare staff to ensure a seamless surgical experience. - Maintain cleanliness and organization of the anaesthesia work area. Skills Required: - Strong understanding of anaesthesia techniques and equipment. - Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow protocols precisely. - Proficient in monitoring patient vital signs and responding to changes. - Good communication skills to effectively collaborate with medical teams. - Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. - Strong problem-solving skills and critical thinking ability. - Compassionate nature with a focus on patient care and safety.
