Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Process Quality Management

• Lead and monitor SMT assembly process parameters to maintain and improve product quality and yield.
• Develop, maintain, and enforce process control plans, inspection procedures, and work instructions.
• Analyse Statistical Process Control (SPC) data to identify trends and drive continuous process improvements. Troubleshooting & Problem Solving
• Investigate SMT assembly defects such as solder joint failures, tombstoning, misalignment, solder bridging, and voids.
• Perform root cause analysis using methods like 5 Whys, Fishbone diagrams, and FMEA to resolve complex manufacturing issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA). Circuit Analysis
• Analyze circuit layouts and PCB designs to identify potential assembly challenges and defects
Support setup, qualification, and maintenance of SMT equipment including pick-andplace machines, reflow ovens, solder paste printers, and inspection systems (AOI, Xray).
In-depth knowledge of SMT assembly processes, soldering technologies, PCB assembly, and inspection methods.
• Strong skills in circuit analysis, electrical fault diagnosis, and PCB layout interpretation. • Proven experience with alternate parts evaluation, qualification, and process integration in SMT production.
• Familiarity with IPC standards such as IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001. • Proficient in quality management and problem-solving tools: SPC, FMEA, CAPA, root cause analysis.
